Installation of MagnaDrive Synchra-600 for Cement Plant, in Tokyo Japan

Cement Plant

Customer: Cement Plant – Tokyo, Japan

Situation

The customer operated a 151 kW – 750 RPM – Kiln Separator, and expressed concern about coupling reliability and shaft breaking – there were instances of shaft damage due to excessive torque.

The Solution

The Results

Since adopting MagnaDrive technology, the customer has experienced no failures, effectively resolving previous instances of shaft damage caused by excessive torque.

Key findings:

  • Elimination of Shaft Damage: Prior to MagnaDrive, the customer occasionally encountered shaft damage due to high torque. This issue was completely resolved after implementation.
  • Startup Performance Measurements: The client measured motor current during startup, along with the rotational speeds on both the primary and secondary sides of the MagnaDrive.
  • Minimal Speed Discrepancies: The results showed only minor differences in rotational speeds, occurring in intervals of less than one second during startup.
    • Yellow line: Represents the primary side of the MagnaDrive.
    • Blue line: Represents the secondary side of the MagnaDrive.

Adjustable Speed Drive and magnetic coupling solutions from MagnaDrive are ideal for a wide range of applications.
